Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Myanmar President U Thein Sein jointly attended the Signing Ceremony of the MOA for build, operate and transfer of 500 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Yangon (Thaketa), Myanmar between Department of Electric Power, Ministry of Electric Power, the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and UREC Energy International Limited, China in Nay Pyi Taw on the date of the 14th November, 2014. The first phase of the project will be completed with the installed capacity of 109 MW and begin to generate power in the year of 2016.
